Instagram Makeover: How to Spice Up Your Instagram Feed to Get More Engagement and Lose Less Followers
I hear you.
It is frustrating to check Instagram week after week and see engagement going doing and unfollows going up. Ugh!
But trust me, both these things are normal.
Every account loses followers each week. The trick it to gain at a faster rate.
As for engagement dropping, the more accounts join Instagram, the more accounts your followers follow, the less time they have to look at your content. So that’s normal and part of the current landscape too.
But that doesn’t mean it sucks any less.
However, there are ways to beat the odds!
For starters…
If your feed looks the same as it did a year ago, it’s time for an Instagram makeover!
I mean, if your favorite store had the same collection since the day you first saw it, would you still care?

Here are a few ideas on how to improve your Instagram feed to retain more followers and have more engagement:
1️⃣create a set of on brand templates that have variety but also look consistent with your brand
2️⃣add text to your images. Memes, tweets, all type posts... these help because people will not need to read your caption to get value (since many times they don't)
3️⃣bring more value to your audience. Instagram users want more than just pretty photos, so think of what your audience wants and needs and how you can provide it to them
4️⃣Spice up your regular photos. Add doodles and graphics with apps like Canva, Mojo or A Design Kit.
Track what works and what doesn’t, and adjust as you go!
