👉Your first red flag: their engagement and number of followers will be disproportional. However, that is not enough to assume the followers are fake, because engagement has been a challenge lately and it can vary a lot between different posts.

👉Your second red flag: the account content is not good, so there would be no reason why 20k people would follow them. Getting warmer, but still not enough to assume (and if the content is in fact good also doesn’t mean they didn’t buy followers).

👉Last red flag you need: scroll through their followers and see who they are. If someone bought followers, you will most likely easily see lots of foreigner accounts or people that don’t look like they would resonate with the account. Like: why would 17 year old boys from India follow a mid 30s mom blogger?

I have spotted so many fraudulent accounts that way, and it doesn’t take long!
