New to buying Canva templates for your business? Here’s all you need to know.
Canva is so much more than an app. It’s a robust tool that has completely changed the design game, especially for small businesses.
In fact, my first tip here is that you ditch the app and always use Canva in your computer!
With an easy-to-use interface, Canva allows even those who never designed anything before to use pre-designed templates and make it their own.
Canva offers their own templates that are included, but independent designers and experts have been creating their own Canva templates that are usually better designed and specialized for specific platforms and can include prompts to make it easier to customize.
So today I want to show those of you who are new to this concept, how it all works!
Buy your templates.
We have a Done For You shop with awesome templates designed to grow engagement. If that’s not the style you’re looking for, Creative Market has endless options.
Remember you can change the colors, images, fonts, etc, so choose your Canva templates for Instagram based on the layout and style you want, not the exact look.
2. Access your new templates
You will receive the templates in a PDF or just linked in an email. Read through the instructions and click on the button to get your templates.
(Pro tip: most creators include a link to a demo video in your purchase email or PDF, so don’t miss that!).
3. Open your templates on Canva.
If you don’t have a Canva account yet, create one here. You can choose to stay on the Free plan, but we totally recommend you buy Canva Pro.
It comes with a lot more features, like one click background removal effect, resizing your templates for with one click (a game changer), and better fonts and stock images and it’s very affordable.
3. Customize your templates
For this one, I want you to show you everything on my own Canva, so I made this video. It’s 12 minutes long, but it will give you a great overview of this game changing tool.
