Demo: Let’s Be Transparent
IMPORTANT: before you start you will need to save your customized design as a PNG with a transparent background, and send it to your phone (or save directly to your phone with the Canva app.
Make sure you delete the women photos in the background. Those images are just there to help you understand how the sticker will look.
HOW TO ADD THE TRANSPARENT DESIGNS TO YOUR STORIES:
OPTION 1: USING THE CAMERA ROLL STICKER IN STORIES
Not every account may have this, but if you do, it's the easiest way:
Record your story and tap on stickers
Tap the camera roll sticker where my arrow is pointing to. It's a circle and you will be able to preview your last image in your camera roll (mine is under the countdown sticker, but this may vary)
This will open your camera roll and you can select your image
The image will pop on the center of the screen
Adjust where you want the sticker with your hands by moving it and zooming in and out with two fingers
OPTION 2: COPYING FROM YOUR CAMERA ROLL AND ADDING STICKER
Record your story and exit the Instagram app without closing the story (minimize the app)
Open the image you want to use in your camera roll (your photo album on your phone) and tap that share button on the bottom left of your iPhone screen
Tap copy photo (for Android you will need to copy to clipboard)
Open your Instagram with the story you just recorded again and a sticker will pop up on the left side of your story. Tap Add Sticker
Adjust where you want the sticker with your hands by moving it and zooming in and out with two fingers
The sticker disappears quickly, so if you don't have time to add it, go to OPTION 3
OPTION 3: COPYING AND PASTING AS TEXT
You've already copied your image from the camera roll/Photo Album as directed above
Tap the text tool on the top of the screen
Tap your finger on the screen and you will see the paste option appear (just like you would so it you were pasting text)
The image will be pasted in the center
Adjust where you want the sticker with your hands by moving it and zooming in and out with two fingers
HOW TO ADD THE FRAMES TO REEL REMIXES
OPTION 1: COPYING FROM YOUR CAMERA ROLL AND ADDING STICKER
Find a Reel you want to remix and tap the 3 dots on the right side (must be watching the Reel full screen, not the preview and some accounts may not have the remix feature yet)
Tap Remix this Reel
Record your remix
Go to the camera roll, open your Reel Remix frame and click share
Tap on Copy Photo (or copy to clipboard if you use Android)
A sticker will pop up. Tap on it to add sticker.
Your frame will appear in the center
Move it carefully with your fingers to place it perfectly covering the whole screen around your Reel remix
If the sticker doesn't work for you, use OPTION 2.
OPTION 2: COPYING AND PASTING LIKE TEXT
You have your Remix recorded and your image copied from your camera roll (like the above instructions)
Like in stories, click the Text Tool and tap the screen to paste
Your frame will appear in the center
Move it carefully with your fingers to place it perfectly covering the whole screen around your Reel remix
Can't get over how cute these Reel remixes look with these frames! They are the motivation you needed to start remixing.
In this video I go over the designs and how to use it in greater detail, so make sure you watch it, too.
Note: these are meant to be saved with a transparent background -- you have to delete the models in the background photos and save as a transparent PNG file to be able to paste on top of your stories or Reels remixes.
No one is using this type of graphics on Instagram, but me and my designer (haha), so your brand and client's brands will stand out!
For anyone who does not want to use them as transparent stickers (for those who don't record on-camera stories), you can still create very pretty still image stories by replacing the models and adding your own brand photos on the background (for service or products).
